Re: WORLD SERIES 2011 - DISCUSSION

Great work guys, and thanks to all involved in setting up and running the series. My apologies for missing the last few rounds. As the weather turns nice and the evenings get lighter I find myself with more and more clashing events! Sim racing is definately more of a winter sport :D I think I suffer...

Re: WORLD SERIES 2011 - DISCUSSION

Yeah sorry guys, ended up playing with real cars when a mate came round to have new brake pads fitted. Failed at that too as we couldnt get the pistons to retract, even with clamps. Bugger.

Re: WORLD SERIES 2011 - DISCUSSION

Did a handful of laps the other day on this historic rev circuit. I can safely say ive never driven this combo before, but its great fun. Fast and sweeping and likely loads of time to be gained on every corner if you get the line right!

Classic! I play the Uke too, great fun instrument and so easy to learn, especially if youre a guitarist. My current challenge is a piano accordian, hilarious :D Anyway, last nights race was good fun. Racing these cars at Westhill is like tightrope walking. One false move and you're gone! Most people...

GTR2 free

Not sure if any of you have seen this thread on the LFS forum, but I had a pop at downloading it all one afternoon and got it running. Was a little underwhelmed with the power and glory mod, so I binned that and stuck with the original cars. Downloaded a whole bunch of tracks and a few cars and some...

Re: The beast

Yeah pretty nuts how much space a fixed rig can take up! I put mine on castors, and the keyboard shelf folds down, and that means that (thanks to sheer luck in building it as at that point I hadnt figured that id be shifting it around) that it can fit through internal doors in the house. So when the...

Re: The beast

Awesome build mate, you got some woodworking skills for sure :D Looking forward to seeing the finished article also! Might suggest a couple of things. Try mounting the monitor as close to you as possible. It gives you a larger effective screen size and means you can run larger FOV. And rather than d...
