Haha yea not sure if anyone woul be keen. most seem to be console racers.

keep forgetting to ask wht ya name is on oldschool

dont know how you race on 720 im on 270 80-100% depends what car.

my seats going all good, i had to do some repairs, i leant back and heard a big crack so had to make things a bit stronger. hows yours going Kronik?

its KR0NIK but i dont post much on there.

when i first got myg25 i learnt on 270 but always felt it was lacking realism
i like my wheel to move exactly as it does on screen and was another learning curve
when i changed to 720.especially drifting..but defanatly mimics real life driving better

building monitor frames and hinges for the series4 at the mo
first attempt at a hinge promptly sagged a good 2inches when i hung the monitor
on it.....so back to the drawing board.should have both centers and at least one wing monitor sused by the end of next week
and will get some pics up finally

h yea mine mimics the wheel in the car perfectly i think theres some setting that makes the wheel the same in car as in your g25 , i think its wheel turn compensation set to 1.00

sounds good about frame lol at 2 inch sag, your not making it of balsa wood are ya?

yeah i think i know what ya mean..but its not really the same ..jump into ya real car turn hard lock on your wheel count the turns.the compare to your setup on xfg unless ur daily has some super geard rack and pinion or one of them speedway/drift gear multipliers on the coloum its not right.....or thou haveing used 270 on lfs i can see why in r/l they are an advantge...have ya still got the corolla?i threw my steering box in the bin after my first trackday
had an issue with the wipers and indicators getting in the way of my hands LOL

whats every one else using for the xfg?

balsa wood ...you would think so with a 2inch sag:)
i said the word hinge as in only one
i was lazy and tried to get away with using one crappy hinge
didnt work
so hanging the second one 2nite..(hopefully)
does anyone have a good idea how to interace the lfs main menu key board buttons
onto like a switch board/individule switches on dash etc...is it taking keyboard apart or can u buy some
thing that would do that or similar?
was going to use the key and igntion barrel to start it...but being a quality mazda ..it didnt
come with one haha

and who mentioned out gauges???? :)

roll on thursday

yea still got corolla, what steering box are you using? would love power steering lol, dont realy get tangled up in wipers, boss kit off sets steering wheel so not too bad but yea its more like 720 that 270 IRL.

I can image how you get tangled up in stuff on the track battling with a heavy steering wheel. didnt do much sliding on the track so wasnt too bad. had a drive in mates MK2 Pinto escort on track with way quicker steering was so much nicer to handle!

just get a cheap usb game pad from the warehouse rip it apart and run/solder wires off circuit board to you own buttons in a panel :)

Bring on thursday racing!

had a shit run last night in MNR well i was quick but kept stuffing my big lead near the end or somthing like that. got pole so that was good but Sly got 3 wins again :) should have been 1

CHOICE NEWS!! thats fkn wikked ...well done

did they sort there dramas? where u on pace wif pros/were the pros??..any replays? full grids?
will have to watch next time
man 3 from 3 :)

havent quieeeeeeeeet got to that battling stage in real life.
still building car lol....but 2DAY i finally got my finished plennem chamber back from alloy
welders after like 2months...
getting sim done first.

i used a ke70 xmember and rack and coloum... but it widened my track to much
and because its sits so low i need my wheels to tuck quite a far bit inside the guards
to still have full lock .so i made some shorter lower/steering arms to pull them back in...
flares/raiseing a little..would have also worked. ...even the freedom to pull ya offset back on ya alloys
would have made it a straight forward conversion into a ke35/30...... pity the 70xmembers no bolt in jobbie
and im stuck with cheviot churbros :) hahaha :)

i now have just over 720deg lock in r.l
when it goes !!!

and yeah steering wheel ..WAS shallow as close to wipers.....main problem
was hands going warp nine on wheel ...gutless car .speed drifing with over steer
catch it..floor my probably 70hp sohc catch it....over steer again to keep
it going . and catch it again if it hasnt bogged ...it was horrible my hand were blury lol and i couldnt
make the car do what i wanted it to do quick enought
the lack of power was easy to fix
the steering had to be easy to use :):)

managed to hang monitor 6mm to low last night and slightly on the piss (dont ask)
so need to redo it but was stoked that the main test of sagging was passed :)
still need slight reinforment but is going to work fine
have old game pad that was gay some where around here so that should work fine thanks
would there be any issues running long/ish wires from them??after cboard to switches?

and again

WELL DONE

Well.. had a very very quick 5 lap test at KY National last night... (before a pair of dumb arses joined the server, changed the track and started drifting left right and centre !, and I couldn't do anything about it cause I was out numbered!.... if you wanted to let me know the admin password that'd be great ! :D)

Ended up just using a set I had in my list, which I think is an old WR set.... tyres are certainly not going to be a problem here... but still quite a challenge to carry the speed through the corners... especially the 180 left hander, getting the exit point for that is a bitch !

Anyway... did 5 laps, and managed a 2:17.920, not sure how that compares.. but felt reasonable :)

Certainly looks like it.... :)

if I remember rightly, i only got down to that time on my last lap.... so, not like I'm consistent here ! :D

My money's on a 4 way fight here... Reverse grid should certainly make things interesting !
