Well, The server went well with the upload speed. But when a race is started, a reset should be if the server is playing up or an idiot causes a bad crash in the first half of the first lap. Maybe it's just me, But apart from that you should just go with it.

Yea will put reset on next time and with the x3 sprint race format round will set midracejoin=no. Yhe endrance round should have midracejoin=yes, but then are open to randoms joining server and heading out on the track.

when i think about it the time you loose doing a reset i think you dont get any advantage doing it and it allows you to keep racing, instead of being stuck watching.

Your very correct there 4aged with having no advantage while reset is on. You do lose time as you have to actually stop before resetting ;)

Also swivel, we all voted for the restart for Krayy.. but yeah having reset on will fix that.

nice server alrite f all lag...so close lap times
run down for me
minis quicker of line
do not use race line realstate when sum one has already moved in
at least not in the second corner
throw it away on the green ice just to get the first one out of the way
stay off wall
get back on track (not reset :)
annoy krayy
should have lifted but didnt
T BONE krayy (felt real bad but was perfectly 90 to the race line)
thought my moter would be in my lap but car dove sweet..lold
oh well might as well finished some fuel off
PITS????????? find out on the night that were pitting...and day after a tyre change??
bang some fuel in
draft mathew with his 0 percent intake restriction down every straight
catch 4aged n sly?? in a ball of dust
mildy anoy 4aged
finish
wounder why i still havent down loaded that game

restarts are always guna be a win /lose situ.....you have to go with the flow
it is one of the unique things of sim racing that makes it what it is
at least untill theres zero lag and then
even then the best drivers still make mistakes
REAL LIFE DRIVERS MUST DREAM ABOUT RESTARTS!

resets
hmmmm probably just me here again
but
after racing for a few years now can honestly say i have never used this reset button!
not even by accident autho haveing only know about this function for probably only 6months!
it may have happened accidently and probally would blamed it on my 20into 1 extension cords

i guessed if you pushed and you got burnt and you had to drive(or worse pit) the remaing laps
in a bent up car or just to get back to the pits.........then thats was your fault and hence you punishment
i always thought thats how lfs was made to be played
staying on track has always been a proity over laps times for me (not an excuse for being slow lol)
and if i had to pit to get out of a sand trap to start dead last (do able if its you own fault gut renching if is not)
then that is 100 times better than r/l waiting for tow truck...to accidently pull ya front bumper off so
you can now see all the damaged youve done to all the light weight super trick $$$ suspension
to put it back on the trailer and use hundreds of dollars gas to tow your offical BMC cooper paper weight home

just a GAME .....yip
but a game that trys to mimic real life in every way
and unfortunatly ive yet to see a teleporting self fixing reset in real life
CHRISTINE came close but never made it to a track lol

pass words would have sorted the in game re set??
pass words should be at the top of the board right next to the current lfsnz event
and clearly labled PASSWORDS.. for all that have actually been bothered doing a little
research to find us when they get here will find exactly what they are looking for
a nz series that they can now join...then a rundown on current weeks/months events
what date/time cars/tracks/laps/pits and importantly what password to use to join that event
this will almost stop randoms /or walk ins coming on and having absolutly no idea what is going on
and then generally going on to drive in the same such manner
causing all the restarts/reset/dnfs bull shit that every one just loves

take all with a grain of salt but thats HOW i PLAY :)

late reply here but yea I hear ya with restarts / and passwrod things

agree with all ya say about password and was my case when we did a admin vote for server passwords, it split vote so we didnt do it, i think the midrace=no coption could solve some of these issue but like you said a password will sort issues with randoms and help get people to forums.

yep and restarts are a unqie thing and if we were purists we would have no resets or restarts but for the sake of enjoyable racing we somtimes do a restart and i think its ok given it doesnt get out of hand and we keep it fair. thats good effort that you never use reset :)

south city town this week, have done some prac with thronz and steela realy fun track here, quite looking forward to this round you can really gets these babysFR's flying around corners you need to be brave and trust these things.

Again, apologies to anyone affected by my lag issue in first race.
Dunno what it was, had been running fine all through praccy and qually, but then in the race it was just shit.
I couldn't run close to cars, computer would be running fine, then all of a sudden drop to 5 fps, was just plain un drivable among other cars. Real shame, looked like it would have been a good race with a few others all round the same pace.

Think you'll find everyone pretty understanding here Thorns, hey next time grab a microphone and let the boys try and nut out some solutions for ya. Was a great night and due to the chosen track some really tight racing and alot of damaged paintwork lol. Had a few rage disconnects, 1 due to me (Redline somebody ) who didnt stick around for my apology but there ya go mate, where else can you put all your emotions to the test in an hour and a half flat eh? Gotta love racin.....see ya next week ;)

I got lag a few times when a couple of people connected and disconnected.

I think i got 5th or 6th in the first race and 6th in the second race, after being swamped by a fury of ufrs and then damaged suspension where i happened to be up on two wheels out of some of the corners and eventually rolling and having to re-set.

Damn i really need to buy a steering wheel soon aye. Keyboard warrior!
