hmmmm i might but considering i made it from
second hand corolla seat - $20
small wooden pallet for base
few lenghts of wood that wer in garage wen i moved in
and bits from an old bedside table.
most expensive part was some big bolts, nuts and washers haha.
oh and at present i am using a madcats PS2/PC steering wheel ,till i can afford a new one.
il post some wen i paint it. amazing what a lick of paint can do!!!

Re: "COCKPIT"
whooooo hooooo someone else in h town that plays lfs
give me a pm if ya wana jam in the 7 sometime
a mate did a video a few weeks ago of sim up and running
but still havent got it off him yet lol
only runnning 3screens which is more than enought
nothing has broken yet which is good
defanatly playing lfs less due to the huge effort it takes to drive fast
will only play for an hour or so before i tire and lose concentration
but its more of a experence than a game now
so thats all good

Re: "COCKPIT"
this current track is non stop gear changes and thats even being quite lazy with gear ratios
my clutch has a bout 3 times the travel of a g25 clutch and is fukn heavy .i still kick it as fast as i can
which probally makes it such a workout...my knee aches after a while so have been getting back into
riding my mtb to try n build up my legs abit lol
the brake pedal requires a huge amount of pressure to lock the wheels in a lx4 and have found that
when i get out of control or spin when i want to lock all four wheels the amount of weight i have to put on pedal
usually lifts my ass off my seat...i could change this but im actually happy with how this feels ..i would have to compare it to an older vehicle with no brake booster
accelerator has about twice the travell of g25 pedal which is good for control and feathering
but again make for more movement with my legs
people that are not famila with g25s seem to adapt better to it than thouse that have gotten used to the
g25 layout...they also say it feels very close to there real car ...which is why the seem to pick the game up
a bit better
took me a while to get used to the pedal spacing and larger wheel
gear lever wasnt to bad .....has about 150mm throw between 1st to say 2nd
and has a decent amount of resistance and once in gear if not held for about a second will pop into netural
which at first irritated me as i quickly reached back to the wheel to find it in netural
but after a few people actually liking this quirk (due to real boxs being prone to lazy miss shifts)
i have decided to keep it.....well its good for laughts as ya hear the lx rev to the moon lol
slower .....defanatly......
better experence defantly
starting to heal/toe abit which is harder when pedals are miles away
with standard g25 pedals i used to have to use chuck taylors or socks to feel the pedals properly
now just jump in with any old shoes
sim lives at the work shop it gets wheeled in and out every day
defanatly still a work in progress....have kept it together for lx4 series
once thats over will strip it down finish off all the welding etc n try n make it look pretty
and yes will hussle my mate for the cam footage
thursdays here can range from me myself and i
to 15plus drunken spectators........and this thursday were haveing a wecome back party
for a mate back from england so will probally have mates video cam again and try and
get some more footage of me COMING LAST
PS IF ANYONES EVER CALLING PAST HAMILTON AND WANTS A JAM..JUST HIT ME UP:)

Re: "COCKPIT"
oh and FFB for lx4 is around 100/110% which i think still provides a good feel for what the cars doing but also
strong enought to make ya work for it
xrt is around 70 to 80 % and some of the front wheel drives feel mint way up around 160%
no smoke from g25 yet
fingers crossed

Good luck for thursday, beers up!

Re: "COCKPIT"
This is What i have so far........ still in the garage but got donated a screen from GF's brother ,thanks damien, so i just hibernate the pc and unplug and setup in garage when i get time to race. am wanting to make a handbrake setup if anyone has any thaughts, was thinking of a lever (old hammer handle) with spring ,that pivots and presses down onto the keyboard spacebar which i would place under it!!
