All good mate, I know first hand how this shiftwork can completely stuff you up for planned events, and yes I was out of the points entirely due to my own lack of intestinal fortitude, how ever always a trier and I never give infastlemons wrote:Bugger just had my shift at work changed to a thursday night starting immeadiatly, so i am out for the rest of the events from now on, sorry KK.

Re: [LFSNZ] FAT BOYS MOVING SERIES - DISCUSSION
Looking forward to this one... Managed to do about 10 - 15 practice laps, and the downhill hairpin is a killer... there's going to be tyres popping there in this race
(although, somehow, I managed that too at BL1, with R2's on...
)
Will be interesting to see how we go with the start on this one, as there is a HELL of a lot less space on the track here.
Are we still running the reverse grid here ? (i.e. is that the same throughout the season)..
Just seems a bit strange to me, (and I'm just pontificating here... (no 4aged, that doesn't mean taking a dump...).. cause I for one know I'm not going to get pole... so wouldn't the "clever, yet slightly devious" thing for me to put in a crap qually lap to start further up the grid ?
Ooooh, forgot to say, enjoyed the last race... was good fun, if not a bit tyring and sweating.. it's the first time i've spent more than 20 mins playing a game since Sept / Oct 09
, and forgot how much I enjoyed it !!!

Yeah that downhill hairpin is lethal, have been popping tyres after about 5 laps if I really try attack it.
Have found that braking real early is the way to go for me, pretty mush as you turn for the first right hand kink although if you have someone right behind you, its gonna be hard to brake early for fear of getting rammed from behind (insert jokes here).

Insert Insert Joke
Yeah, the first lap is gonna be carnage... I think we'll have a traffic jam at the bottom of the hill

Think I'll just sandbag in qually and get pole by setting slowest lapgoop wrote:Insert Insert Joke![]()

What sorta times you running goop?
Im only in the low 20s qually, and high 20s race pace

Re: [LFSNZ] FAT BOYS MOVING SERIES - DISCUSSION
I've only done 4 or 5 laps so far, been a bit slack. I know the back end of the track pretty well, but the hairpin needs a little more finesse yet
I think it was a 20 or 21 from memory.
I plan on doing some time tomorrow night, up for some praccy on the server?

I think the rev grid has been canned for this race at least?

Re: [LFSNZ] FAT BOYS MOVING SERIES - DISCUSSION
Yip be keen for some practice tonight, need to try get a race set sorted that I can make last longer than 5-6 laps.
